The metaphorical handbreak

My knitting has stalled somewhat in the past few weeks in no small part due to the move to Swindon and the sore throat/cold/general ickiness combination that hit me the week after. As I’m still relatively new to this whole knitting malarkey, I find I need to have energy to concentrate and figure out what the heck I’m doing before I knit, especially as I’m still trying to get my head around the gusset part of my first sock. I think I know what I should be doing now so I’ll get on with that as soon as I can put my mind to it. Hopefully that’ll be this coming weekend as I will be doing nothing of note and having that time all to myself for various reasons.

On a completely unrelated note, I was driving to Bournemouth on Friday after work and lo and behold, what did I see in a paddock on the road to Marlborough, just outside Ogbourne St. Andrew but a herd of alpaca! I am wondering if I should investigate further through Google….

P.S. Apologies for the rambliness of this post – my brain’s in a rather fluid train of thought so I’m afraid there’s not much structure to be had today.
